O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us to Jesus your Son. Look with compassion on the whole human family, break down the walls that separates us, unite us in bonds of love, and, through our struggle and confusion, work to accomplish your purpose on earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
-- Amen
Prayers-2-Go. A series to bring prayers into our everyday lives. Find them in you weekly bulletin or on Quick Links on the web.
Eternal God, our beginning and our end, be our starting point and our haven, and accompany us in this day’s journey. Use our hands to do the work
of your creation, and use our lives to bring others
the new life you give this world, in Jesus Christ, Redeemer of all.
-- Amen.
Gracious God,
We are never away from your care,
and what we lack you give in love.
Watch over families where,
by death or separation,
a parent is left alone with children.
Lift bitterness and the burden of lonely obligation.
Show them that they live under your protection,
so they have not less love, but more,
through Jesus Christ,
your Son and our eternal brother.
-- Amen
Almighty God, from whom we receive our life, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children. As we bring them up, give us calm strength and patient wisdom, that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. -- Amen
Mighty God, by your love we are given children through the miracle of birth. May we greet each new son and daughter with joy and surround them with faith, so they may know who you are and want to be your disciples.
-- Amen
O God, give us time of refreshment
and peace in the course of this busy life.
Grant that we may so use our leisure to
rebuild our bodies and renew our
minds, that our spirits may be opened
to the goodness of your creation,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
-- Amen.
Blessed is the spot, and the house, and the place, and the city, and the heart, and the mountain, and the refuge, and the cave, and the valley, and the land, and the sea, and the island, and the meadow where mention of God has been made and His praise glorified.
Baha’ Ullah (1817-92), Persia
Be you a bright flame before me,
Be you a smooth way below me,
Be you a guiding star above me,
Be you a watchful eye behind me,
This day,
This night,
Forever,

The Lord be with you as you go,
Bless you in your coming.
His presence be with your journey,
Bless the road as it unwinds.

Be present at our table, Lord;
Be here and everywhere adored.
These mercies bless, and grant that we
May feast in fellowship with thee.

The eyes of all wait upon you, O Lord,
And you give them their food
in due season.
You open wide your hand,
and satisfy the needs
of every living thing.
Thanks be to you.
-- Amen.
God of Grace,
Sustain our bodies with this food
Our hearts with true friendship
And our souls with your truth,
For Christ’s sake
-- Amen
